Is Pet Au Pair insured?
Absolutely! Pet Au Pair and its staff will always act safely and within the best interest of a pet’s health, but accidents can happen. We currently carry Public Liability insurance.
Can I meet the dog walker or pet sitter before booking?
Yes, we require a meet-and-greet session to ensure that both you and your pet are comfortable with their Au Pair. This meet-and-greet appointment is approximately 15 minutes long. During this time we will review the health of your pet, any past injuries, how to access the pet, review feeding and grooming routines, where their collar/harness is kept, and discuss any fears the pet may have. We want to ensure we are prepared for as many situations that may cause your pet stress. We love to hear the sometimes ‘odd’ things that make pets uncomfortable or the things that provide them comfort.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards and bank transfers. We can also offer payment plans for petsitting services, as we understand holidays are expensive and are happy to help make that process less stressful.
What is your Cancelation Policy?
We understand that sometimes even the best plans can fall apart. Pet Au Pair will always aim to be flexible with bookings and would prefer to rebook all services for an alternative date. If a mutually suitable date is not possible, we are happy to cancel your services. We ask that we be notified as soon as possible.

If for some reason a pet carer is unable to gain access due to faulty locks, an unreasonable obstruction to the entrance, or other factors other than cancellation within the stipulated period, the service will be charged at the full rate.
How many dogs do you take on a group walk?
We love this question as it’s an important factor for keeping all dogs safe while in our care. We follow the NSW Companion Animals Act which states that no person (including professional dog walkers) can control more than 4 dogs at one time. We maintain our ratio of one dog walker per four dogs. This means that each of our group walks has a maximum of four dogs under a dog walker’s supervision at one time. There are times when two group walks will meet at the same park, but each dog walker is responsible for their specific group of four dogs. We further follow the NSW Companion Animals Act as it stipulates that dogs must be under the supervision of someone 16 years old or above.
